Who is responsible

What information we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your email address. MailerLite also records information about your signup and confirmation, such as dates, times, IP address and signup source.
Where email tracking is enabled, MailerLite records email opens and link clicks, together with associated technical information. Opening statistics are estimates and may be affected by your email software.
If you contact us, we also receive the information you include in your message.
How we use your information
We use your information to send the Next Question? newsletter, including ideas for children’s learning, questions for families to explore, and information about our books, investigation packs and related offers.
We also use it to manage subscriptions, record consent, respond to enquiries and maintain the security of the service.
Subscribing is optional. Your email address is necessary to deliver the newsletter. You must confirm your subscription using the confirmation email before receiving newsletters.
Our legal bases
We rely on your consent to send newsletters. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We rely on our legitimate interests in administering and protecting the newsletter service to maintain necessary subscription records, prevent abuse and respond to enquiries. Where the law requires consent for tracking technologies, we will obtain it before using them.
Who processes your information
We use MailerLite to host the signup page, manage subscriptions and deliver emails. MailerLite and its authorised service providers process subscriber information to provide these services.
Messages sent to our contact address are forwarded through Cloudflare to our Rocketmail inbox and processed by those email providers.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
MailerLite describes its processing, hosting and international-transfer safeguards at:

How long we keep information
We keep your information while you remain subscribed and the newsletter operates.
After you unsubscribe, we stop sending newsletters. We may retain limited information needed to honour your unsubscribe request, demonstrate consent or withdrawal, and establish or defend legal claims. Such records are kept only for as long as necessary for those purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter or by emailing [email protected].
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You may complain to the French data protection authority, CNIL, at https://www.cnil.fr, or to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date above.
